Help-Portrait Session

Photographers Joey and Jessica Seawell set up a temporary studio at 407 E. Washington Street–soon-to-be home of the IRC–this past Saturday and took photos of more than a dozen people who are part of the IRC family–guests, staff and board members, taking their turn in front of the seamless backdrop.  Joey and Jessica didn’t just bring their photo equipment: they arrived with coffee, bottled water, a kerosene heater and music to warm up the space and keep the party going all day.  The project was part of a global event called Help-Portrait in which photographers in over 55 countries spent the day taking formal portraits of people who might never before have had a professional photograph of themselves.  The Greensboro News & Record and News 2 covered the event.  Many thanks to everyone who made the day possible!

On Wednesday, December 23 the printed and framed portraits will be given to the people who were photographed as Joey and Jessica’s gift to the IRC and its family,  Look for some of the pictures here soon, along with more information about the holiday party.
