Tina Firesheets wrote a great account of Joey’s visit for the News & Record and  Brad Jones of Fox8 spent the day traveling with Joey around the IRC and to the homeless camp.

During his time here Joey learned not only about homelessness, but also about the stories of resilience and determination that fill this community. In addition to visiting the camp he toured Mattress-Go-Round, a local employer willing to give people a second chance, and walked and talked with guests at the IRC.

Thursday night Joey spoke to a group of IRC supporters and helped to raise close to $26,000 to underwrite operations this winter–a big step closer to the $150,000 we need to see us through March.  Many many thanks to Joey and to everyone who made this great visit possible.
